Council invests in safety and comfort
In the South East of South Australia it’s not unusual to get four seasons in one day — it therefore made perfect sense for Wattle Range Council to
invest in a mower that was capable of working safely and comfortably in all conditions.
Tony Eustace, Manager of Council’s Fleet & Mechanical Services was charged with finding a suitable machine for the job, and it didn’t take him long
to settle on the Gianni Ferrari Turbo 4 Cruiser.
“Wattle Range Council spans a wide area from the coast to the Victorian border, and with that comes large lawn and grass areas which need to be maintained
to a high standard. With Council running four 72 inch cut mowers and three 54 inch zero turn mowers the utilization of our mowers is high, so a programmed
replacement program is imperative to ensure reliability, availability and to reduce operating costs. The Gianni Ferrari was selected because of the
visibility, quietness of operation, accessibility for servicing and acceptance of operators,” Tony said.
Tony’s enquiries led him to Kubpower, a JSB Equipment dealer in Naracoorte, only 100kms away. It was at this point that David Ward — JSB Equipment’s
Regional Sales Manager — became involved to help Tony with his enquiries, and eventually facilitated the transaction.
“Wattle Range Council recognised the fact that the Gianni Ferrari Turbo 4 Cruiser has features and benefits that are not comparable to any other machine
in the current market to suit their requirements,” David said.
“The Turbo 4 Cruiser is capable of cutting and catching wet grass at a very high rate. The standout feature of the Gianni Ferrari Turbo 4 is it has the
only factory manufactured Air Cab in the world. It is super quiet, and the air conditioning has now been tested in Australian conditions,” David explained.
“The Turbo 4 Cruiser performed as we expected it would, as some parts of the engineering and design are from years of experience in Australia,” David
said.
On July 15 David, and Brian from Kubpower, supplied the Gianni Ferrari Turbo 4 Cruiser to Council and assisted in the hand over by pointing out key features
and service procedures to Council’s employees.
“(David and Brian) went out of their way to supply any information or demonstrations of the mower right through the purchasing process. The new Gianni
Ferrari will maintain the parks and gardens mainly in the Penola area of the Wattle Range Council with a dedicated operator,” Tony concluded.
