Safety First… Glenmac reviews the Lawn Mower Lift’s efficiency
During the month of April, Glenmac Sales & Service was given a ProLift T5501 Lawn Mower Lift to trial and review for The Groundsman, and the workshop
was certainly impressed with the machine.
With the assistance of The Groundsman, ProLift embarked on a search for a volunteer to review the Lawn Mower Lift. Glenmac Sales and Service was supplied
the T5501 mower lift with manual and air operation to trial for a one month period.
Before the arrival of ProLift’s Lawn Mower Lift Glenmac were rotating the use of a forklift, hoist and crane for maintenance work. They had used a similar
version of a machine lift that had a hand cranking device, but this was abandoned shortly after being used as it was a time consuming operation to
lift their ride on mowers.
Assembly and installation of the ProLift unit took less than half an hour and it was put to work immediately in the busy Glenmac workshop. ProLift paid
the workshop a visit a few weeks later to get some feedback on the effectiveness of the ProLift system — “Astounding” was one of the comments
made by Glenmac’s Service Manager, Helmut Seelmann.
“The Lawn Mower Lift fits the majority of ride on mowers we service, ranging from the small 100 Series John Deere ride ons to zero turns, as well as the
Gator utility vehicles. Before the Lawn Mower Lift it took our technicians roughly 10-15 minutes to strap these mowers down, take the deck off and
lift it,” Helmut said.
“With the ProLift it took just a few minutes to move the portable system around the workshop, drive the mower onto and over the saddle and lift the machine.”
As more and more residential zero turn machines enter the marketplace the ProLift Mower Lift System is the ideal choice for workshops and customers alike.
“The ProLift allows immediate service access to mower blades and deck drive components… easily and safely,” Helmut said.
“It is a great addition to our workshop!”
The ProLift Lawn Mower Lift is available in three different models, catering to virtually all ride on mower shapes and sizes. It’s designed to safely lift
a ride on mower for easy and fuss-free routine maintenance work and repairs.
Capable of lifting up to 68cm clearance, the ProLift allows you to conduct maintenance in under one minute using an industrial grade bottle jack as part
of the lift system. It is no wonder the ProLift Lawn Mower Lift is fast becoming a favorite with all commercial mower owners alike.
In all, the Lawn Mower Lift surely did impress and was given the tick of approval by a very satisfied Glenmac workshop team. The ProLift Lawn Mower Lift
was extremely easy to use and great for basic to intermediate service jobs, and was very portable and convenient to move around any workshop. It certainly
allows the operator to lift machines more safely than alternative methods of lifting mowers and machinery.
ProLift would like to thank Glenmac Sales and Service for being a great champ in participating in the review of their latest product as well as Clint from
The Groundsman for his help in the search for a volunteer.
