Trimax to distribute direct within Australia
For the past 27 years Howard have been the distributor for Trimax in Australia, but starting from January 1, 2014, this will no longer be the case.
Trimax have set themselves up as their own distributor in Australia with a brand new warehouse and operations centre in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
Brent Willing, the Manufacturer’s Representative from Trimax Mowing Systems comments about what the change means to owners of Trimax-made mowers.
“Our goal is to have an experienced and tight family of dealers that provide great customer service for our products. We already have over 4,000 machines
sold into the Australian market, so we’ve got a great name for our product already and we know there’s a heap of them out there.
“Our focus is really making sure the owners of products get the parts and backup service they need,” said Brent.
Owners and operators of ProCut, Stealth, Pegasus or any other Trimax mower that was previously Howard-branded are encouraged to contact Trimax. This will
ensure they receive personalised service and support, and have the opportunity to pass on any feedback about their mower.
The strong focus Trimax places on understanding it’s customer’s needs is summed up in this statement:
“Our belief at Trimax is that our customers are like family, and like family we look out for each other. If you have a problem that you need solving then we’re here to help in any way we can. Our mowing solutions and the positive impact these solutions have on our environments have been realised throughout the world. Our comprehensive range of commercial mowers are designed with our family in mind, this means we’re building machines that produce the best cut possible whilst ensuring you spend less time and money on maintenance.”
Trimax has a full-time focus on turf maintenance equipment — they don’t make agricultural equipment such as rotary hoes or tillers. Their whole company
structure is based around finding innovative, long lasting, low maintenance solutions for mowing grass and supporting their users throughout the process.
During the 27 years of partnership with Howard, Trimax has gained customer insights resulting in user valued products.
Trimax was originally established in New Zealand, however the company has been exporting successfully all over the world for over 30 years. They have become
a desired brand in council mowing in Australia, the UK and New Zealand with their Pegasus and Stealth mowers, among other product.
Brent said it is very important to treat each State of Australia on it’s own merit, as the conditions vary greatly from State to State.
”For example, Victoria is a strong market because it is the closest in environment to New Zealand, despite still having dry periods where the grass doesn’t
grow,” Brent said.
“The team at Trimax would love to hear from users if they currently own — or have had experience with — a Trimax product. Any feedback is welcomed,
good or bad, as this information helps drive future innovation,” Brent concluded.
