Victa secures Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brand Award
For the past 12 years, the Australian Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand survey has uncovered the products and services that Australians reach for and have
come to depend on to enrich their lives.
And this year, renowned and respected garden and lawn care specialist Victa has secured the most trusted accolade for gardening equipment – the first time
this category has been included in the awards.
This year, leading market research company Catalyst Marketing and Research surveyed more than 3000 Australians, who were asked to identify the products
that dominate their lifestyle and held their trust. There were 40 categories of products and services across a wide range of industries, and Victa
joined a prestigious list of brands which Australians ‘trust the most’.
Laura Clarke, Marketing Communications Manager for Victa says: “It can sometimes take generations to build a name and product that people intrinsically
believe in and trust, and this has proven to be the case with Victa – one of Australia’s enduring brands.
“Providing quality and reliable products that deliver on the advertised promise builds reputation, so it’s rewarding to see our efforts recognised by this
independent award.
“The products are a communication tool in themselves, as satisfied customers pass on good word of mouth, or turn to internet review sites to give positive
feedback, effectively becoming brand ambassadors. Most decisions are still made through the heart. Brands that connect with their customers on core
emotional values will survive and thrive in even the most rapidly changing marketplace.”
As part of the survey, certain phrases came up again and again with trusted brands: reliable, socially responsible, high quality and coming from a company
that understood their needs.
Australian Reader’s Digest editor Sue Carney said the top brands had a long history of being steadfast and safe. “It’s the brands which continue to offer
quality and substance that hold our trust,” she said.
The Victa brand name is part of Australia’s fabric. Last year it celebrated its 60th anniversary, starting from humble beginnings in a Concord NSW garden
shed in 1952, it is now a global exporter of garden and lawn care products with the majority of products assembled at the Moorebank NSW facility.
